Job Description Summary
The Global Product Manager, MR Surface Coils, is responsible for defining the overall product strategy and roadmap of MR surface coils by identifying, prioritizing and realizing new product opportunities and existing product enhancement opportunities as well as by managing the lifecycle of legacy products.
The most qualified candidate possesses strong organizational and communication skills and is adept at influencing across a matrixed environment.

Gather voice of customer (VOC) to drive upstream product development, create products and features pipeline, and plan individual products/features development
Lead product design from a customer needs perspective; generate market requirements documents, presentations and supporting materials to align all functional groups behind a VOC-driven product development plan
Develop and execute MR surface coils product launch cadence and launch plans, including product positioning/messaging, sales and applications specialist training, and marketing campaigns
Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams (MR System Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Regulatory, Quality, Sourcing, Integrated Supply Chain, etc.) to create proposals for new product developments and to finalize product specifications
Establish and maintain in-depth understanding of coils technologies and system-level MR technologies, market trends, and competitive dynamics
Establish a make/buy strategy across the MR portfolio and maintain strategic relationships with 3rd party coil vendors
Manage GE’s existing RF coil portfolio within the installed-base as well as create and execute lifecycle strategies for older products
Represent the Coils organization on the staff of MR segments (3T, 1.5T, etc.)
Support global sales activities on an as needed basis

Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, engineering, or other related fields
7+ years of medical technology upstream product management, marketing, or program management experience
2+ years of experience in the Magnetic Resonance industry
MBA or other advanced degree in business or marketing fields
10+ years of medical technology upstream product management, marketing, program management, or engineering experience
5+ years of experience in the Magnetic Resonance industry
Proven experience learning technical products
Knowledge of medical device industry practices, techniques, and standards (e.g., role of clinical trials, reimbursement landscape, etc.)
Demonstrated experience creating, implementing, and managing multiple projects
Able to travel up to 40% of time
Self-motivated and directed, detail oriented and demonstrated ability to thrive and contribute in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Organized and efficient with a focus on execution
Disciplined, high performer who acts with authority, vision, and is accountable for results
Excellent communication and influence skills
Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest technology and market trends and relate it to product opportunities
