Job Description Summary

In this role, the Global Price Setting Leader will work closely with the Region and Strategic Business Units (SBUs) to establish and execute optimal pricing setting strategies across GEHC. He/she will execute on price setting for select GEHC priority New Product & Service Introductions (NPIs/NSIs), as well as develop scalable frameworks for utilization by others in all NPIs/NSIs. The focus of these efforts is to optimize pricing for NPIs/NSIs into the marketplace, in order to drive profitable growth for GEHC.

Preferred work location is at our GE Office in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. However the role is open as a remote opportunity across the continental US.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Execute on optimal price setting for select priority New Product & Service Introductions (NPIs/NSIs) at GEHC, including

  • Partnering closely with the SBU teams pre-launch to understand the new products & services being developed, and the associated value propositions for the customer

  • Understanding the underlying market conditions & market potential for GEHC for said NPIs

  • Understanding the competitive landscape and competitive differentiation for GEHC’s offering

  • Partnering with external agencies for external market research and direct customer feedback/validation of value

  • Conducting diagnostics and analyses to determine key pricing levers and estimating pricing opportunity

  • Determination of optimal analytically backed price targets, price floors, and delegation of authority thresholds, in partnership with the region & SBU teams

  • Articulation of pricing strategy and linkage to value proposition in preparation for regional launches

  • Development of pricing training guides for regional launches to field sales teams

  • Monitoring of pricing performance post-launch, and completion of ‘retrospective’ analyses for continuous improvement

  • Development of scalable frameworks for utilization by other Region & SBU colleagues in the launches of all NPIs/NSIs, including

  • Development of ‘playbooks’, trainings, and tutorials for others to reference on the processes listed above

  • Promotion of these materials for utilization by Region & SBU team members

  • Consultation with member of Region & SBU teams as they need support on targeted analyses

  • Drive strong cross-functional collaboration with Region & SBU Product Management, Marketing, and Sales teams in the execution of the above responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Economics, sales, marketing, or finance background

  • 5+ years successful experience of leading comprehensive, high profile projects in areas of sales and/or marketing, within complex and/or matrix organizations

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field

  • 8+ years successful experience of leading comprehensive, high profile projects in areas of sales and/or marketing, within complex and/or matrix organizations

  • “Change Agent” experience, CAP Leader trained

  • Global Project experience

  • Willingness to travel (up to 20%)

  • Demonstrated experience and success with Pricing

  • GE Leadership program graduate (Financial Management Program, Corporate Audit Staff, Experienced Commercial Leadership Program)

  • Experience with development of and execution of pricing strategies with new product & service launches

  • Solid process and program management orientation, demonstrated project planning and resource management/allocation experience and the proven ability to multi-task effectively and manage multiple priorities at one time

  • Creative Problem Solving –Strong analytical skills demonstrating ability to identify root causes of problems; generate and evaluate creative alternative solutions; implement problem resolutions quickly and effectively with fact-based decisions.

  • Strong communication skills to synthesize complex issues and communicate into simple messages

  • External focus, entrepreneurial thinker: having the view on the broader picture

  • Coaching & Team Leadership skills
