Job Description Summary

Join a global engineering team utilizing advanced design tools and techniques to develop state-of-the-art CT systems for leadership in medical diagnostic imaging systems. The CT Product Champion is responsible for leading the team to improve product quality in our premium CTs. This position serves as a conduit between customers, senior leadership, engineering development team, manufacturing and service; bridging the gap between customer expectations, product functionality, and engineering design and direction. The successful candidate will drive enterprise customer issues from escalation to resolution by gathering voice of customer (VOC), defining the overall product quality strategy and roadmap, identifying, prioritizing and realizing new product opportunities and existing product enhancement opportunities.

Job Description

  • Capture voice of customer through direct communication with customers, direct communication with GE’s service team, service records, or service tools. Specifically focused on infantile failure issues and/or enhancements (IFR90).

  • Help customers articulate problem statements and translate into engineering actions to achieve resolution.

  • Become a member of product programs to set the strategy, lead, and execute feature development to improve customer experience.

  • Work with the system, subsystem/platform and service leadership teams to deliver quality, reliable products

  • Work with the functional engineering leadership team to grow product quality functional and domain expertise within the team

  • Manage day-to-day customer escalations

  • Drive product quality across CT products including establishing product quality operational rigor and governance


  • Bachelors Degree in engineering discipline, preferably Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical or Physics

  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in one or more of the following: product development, product quality, engineering, quality control and/or servicing in a medical device environment

  • Project Management Experience


  • Experience with Design for Reliability

  • Ability to make decisions with limited data, persuasive communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a strong cross-functional environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively coach and lead internal teams and remote teams.

  • Sense of urgency, desire to make deadlines, attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation

  • Demonstrated experience creating, implementing, and managing multiple projects

  • Creative problem solver and solution developer when presented with conflicting requirements, business demands and technical risks/issues
