Role Summary:

The Marine and Oil & Gas OTR Leader – North America will lead the execution of the orders book for the GE Power Conversion Marine and Oil & Gas Segment in North America. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall segment project and services portfolio, in terms of revenue recognition, cost management, contract and customer management. In addition, you will be responsible for the fleet management, and overall field service execution.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Marine and Oil & Gas OTR Leader – North America, you will:

  • Work closely with leadership in the Marine and Oil Gas market space, and work in close coordination with the projects and services team to drive reactive orders, as well as revenue and margin growth

  • Lead the fleet management, project management and field service teams

  • Lead profitable growth by adding and training qualified field resources, supporting fulfillment objectives and driving utilization

  • Provide effective support of Marine and Oil Gas customer service objectives and lead development of relationship with key customers including, OEMs, O&G, Marine Merchant and Marine Offshore industries

  • Manage operations budgets, (sales, CM, past due accounts, billing and aged inventory), cost control, quality, and operations-oriented customer communications

  • Manage Marine and Oil & Gas projects, deploying teams to execute achieving (Environmental Health and Safety) EHS, financial and schedule objectives

  • Deliver on all contract aspects for long term service agreements in place with our customers

  • Manage remote service offices located at customer locations

  • Be responsible for capacity planning, labor utilization and cost liquidation

  • Lead a team of project managers, service managers, and field services engineers / technicians primarily dedicated to the Marine and O&G segment

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 5 years of Profit and Loss (P&L), Project Management and/or Customer Service Leadership experience

Desired Characteristics:

  • Resourceful with the ability to work in matrix environment

  • Experience with Government Contracting and requirements

  • Knowledge of Power Conversion information systems, including SAP

  • Self-directed and highly motivated

  • Proven growth leadership

  • Strong team building skill set
