Job Description Summary

Provides smooth and efficient administrative support to Washington Operations team. Engages in activities that are broad and changeable in nature, including the coordination of special projects, arrangement of conferences, and preparation of travel.

Essential Responsibilities

• Support Washington Ops Leader in all related administrative tasks.

• Produce correspondence, scheduling meetings, emails, and any external mailings.

• Handle highly confidential and sensitive information.

• Provide calendar, meeting, and conference management. Partner across other GE businesses in DC for larger conference activities.

• Coordinate travel arrangements.

• Process monthly corporate card and cash expenses.

• Support with general office administration.

• Support teams by training or mentoring others on technology, tools, or systems used in their everyday working practices.

• May input departmental invoices and help manage budget inquires by working closely with Wash Ops Leader.

• May assist with job candidate interview scheduling.

• May provide tactical support to a function or P&L by answering questions on support central sites and on various internal processes.

• May help to keep organization charts up to date as directed.

• May send out customer brochures or correspondence, or document leads.

Qualifications/Requirements:

High School Diploma / GED;

  • Minimum of 3 years of administrative support experience.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience working in and navigating computer applications such as Microsoft Office and Concur.

  • Detail orientated;

  • Work experience in a executive environment. Strong communication skills and ability to learn and understands all policies, practices, and procedures. Ability to multitask;

  • Strong sense of priority;

  • Strong interpersonal skills;

  • Ability to work independently and solve problems;

  • Strong team player and desire for hands on approach.

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
