Job Description

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

  • Provision of scientific support of the Medical Affairs activities for the Northern Eastern European Region.

  • Provide high quality medical expertise and show proactivity for strategic support to the commercial team and other functions within GE Healthcare Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx).

  • Participation at various scientific meetings with active role in presenting key clinical evidence to referral groups and KOLs.

  • Single medical point of contact and relationship development with key medical opinion leaders; including but not limited to Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Neurology and Cardiology specialists.

  • Act as the medical liaison for medical societies, government agencies, ministries of health and advocacy groups.

  • Review and approval of promotional and other materials for scientific content according to ABPI and local codes including also signatory. Handling complaints about promotional activities, support reimbursement efforts with medical & health economic data.

  • Support creation of clinical summaries, training materials and oversight medical information activities.

  • Training commercial teams about products.

  • Responsible to assess and support all activities related to investigator sponsored trials and Post marketing surveillance studies. Collaboration with R&D providing input and feedback to the development plans.

  • Act as an expert for the company’s key products, contributing proactively to strategy, tactics and materials for those products as well representing the products at clinical study and advisory board meetings.

  • Working closely with both the Commercial Manager for the regions and the Global R&D team, provide scientific / medical support to the sales, marketing and regulatory activities in the region. Support the implementation of the region’s strategy directly and through local partners. Ensure constant exchange with Commercial on this.

  • Work with the Marketing Leads in the organization of, and participation in, regional and national scientific meetings.

  • Responsibility for the preparation and / or review of scientific product presentations to be used in customer meetings both by themselves and by the commercial team.

  • Medical input to the production of key promotional material for new or existing products, review and provide medical approval for all advertising and promotional material for the Region.

  • The jobholder will also be involved in the dissemination of clinical paper summaries and disease area information.

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

  • The candidate must be medically qualified, with education and training in a medically related profession (e.g. PhD),

  • A first significant experience in a position in a pharmaceutical company,

  • Experience of approving promotional materials, codes & regulations,

  • Business knowledge and experience in a commercial environment,

  • Ability to travel 30-40% of the time (predominantly domestic),

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in Polish & English,

  • Cross functional teamwork experience,

  • Able to create a dynamic environment that fosters transparency, collaboration and innovative thinking,

  • Strong problem solving and negotiation skills; ability to influence and make recommendations at multiple levels of the company,

  • Demonstrate project management skills to establish strategic goals and to prioritize, plan, delegate and evaluate deliverables,

  • Able to use virtual presentation tools such as (but not limited to) MS Teams, ON24, Zoom, Skype, etc… to present scientific content to remote customer groups.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Post graduate work experience in Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Neurology, Oncology and Cardiology or a related medical/scientific area preferred. Ideally at least 2 years experience with diagnostic medicinal products related to above medical areas including profound knowledge on competition.

  • Ideally experience in a medical product manager/medical liaison manager function with focus on KOL & key account management
