Job Description Summary
We are looking for mechanical engineer who wants to join the team developing turbine for the the best-in-class turboprop engine- GE Catalyst.
Mechanical design engineer will have an opportunity to execute all activities associated with the hot flowpath- airfoils and rotors mechanical design, starting with a concept through design maturation, validation, and product certification.
This is unique opportunity to become the member of engineering team in Poland, creating the new product in aviation market and collaborating in international environment.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Execute/lead engineering activities related to mechanical design development and maturation of turboprop engine on turbine airfoils and rotors
Design optimization to improve cost and weight of selected components
Address components producibility challenges
Support of engine certification (certification reports evaluation)
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks
Participate as an author and presenter in technical and program reviews
Formulate and implement tasks/project plans, monitor and report status
Collaborate with other teams across disciplines and organizations, including hardware suppliers
Requirements
Bachelor/MSc in Mechanical Engineering
Experience in engineering design process of machine components
Knowledge of materials, manufacturing methods and strength of materials
Experience with technical documentation (drawings, 3D CAD models)
Strong communication skills, including English language (spoken and written)
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a challenging and dynamic environment under time pressure
Target orientation, responsibility, demonstrated strong problem-solving skills, passion to learn, open-mindedness, strong motivation
Additional experience
Knowledge of modelling tools (UG or similar)
MS Office package
Experience with aviation parts design will be an asset.
Fundamental knowledge of FEM environment (Ansys, Workbench or similar) will be an asset
