General Electric Cost Leader for Valves and Actuators in Warsaw, Poland

Job Description Summary

Cost Leader will work with GE Team at Rockford, US. She/ he will be based at EDC.

Rockford Team have experience in valves and actuators engineering, testing and manufacturing.

Primary task for the Cost Leader will be to minimize cost, ultimately, of all Rockford products.

Cost Leader will seek opportunities for reduction related to material and labor cost. She/ he will challenge internal processes for engineering, testing, manufacturing and interact with sourcing.

Cost Leader will report progress of the cost-out activities during monthly meetings with Senior Leadership Team.

Job Description

Main responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present cost-out plans for Rockford products

  • Drive cost-out activities to meet operation targets

  • Report progress of the cost-out actions to Senior Leadership Team

  • Work closely with sourcing and Rockford site leadership to reduce cost for current and future products

  • Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting assigned tasks

  • Provide adequate support to dedicated Program Leaders

  • Document technical and business data consistently with GE policies and procedures

  • Provide timely and clear communication on significant issues

  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews in person or remotely

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related

  • Demonstrated working experience as mechanical engineer in aviation industry

  • Demonstrated working experience on leadership position

  • Knowledge of aviation manufacturing processes and techniques

  • Knowledge of Cost-Out processes and tools (aPriori for should cost analysis)

  • Demonstrated professional CAD software usage, NX preferred

  • Demonstrated professional MS Project usage

  • Demonstrated teamwork

  • Excellent communication and pro-active approach

  • Problem solving attitude

  • Ability to work under time pressure and with budget/ resources constraints

  • Proficient English (spoken and written)

  • Ability to work remotely with global team members

  • Ability and availability to frequent travels to US
