General Electric Clinical Development Specialist in India

Role Summary:

Activities contributing to Bio-process and would include Upstream/Downstream and Analytical capabilities. Position requires an understanding of biological concepts, methods and procedures (technical Master’s Degree/ PhD). A strong foundation of process knowledge (Upstream/Downstream/Analytics) is required to deliver Process development (PD) projects and training programs.

Essential Responsibilities:

1) Would perform activities supporting the development of processes within the ambit of Upstream (Cell and Microbial culture)/Downstream (Purification of biomolecules) and Analytics. 2) Expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent. 3) The candidate should be ready for a 1-2 week of travel to work with external customers based on requirement. 4) Maintaining accurate and complete records of all work, and report to customers and management in oral and written manner. 5) Developing and maintaining relationships with the regional commercial and marketing teams, as well as the global Fast Trak and R&D organizations


1) Advanced degree in Life Sciences, with experience in bioprocessing or process development. 2) Strong scientific foundation in Biology. 3) Excellent oral, written communication skills, and presentation skills

Desired Characteristics:

1) 2 or more years of industry experience in bioprocess development or biomanufacturing. 2) Deep scientific understanding of principle and theory behind unit operations for processing biologicals. 3) Working knowledge of process scale up, validation, and GMP manufacturing. 4) Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, matrixed and customer focused environment
