General Electric Lead Account Sales Specialist (m/f) in Germany

Role Summary:

The Account Sales Specialist owns the customer relationship for a limited set of new & existing accounts. For each account the Specialist will develop & execute a strategy for future account growth for control hardware solutions for our Automation, Embedded Controls & Industrial Internet. Meet or Exceed Annual Sales Goal – Through direct customer contact, exceed sales plan (deeper & broader penetration) within defined named accounts by creating value to customers for our solution footprint.

Essential Responsibilities:


  • Account Sales Specialists are responsible for large, complex accounts thatrequire higher level of selling expertise and executive presence to covermultiple customer locations, potentially across geographies, and suppliers(Panel Shops, Integrators, Equipment Builders)

  • He or she isaccountable for identifying customer challenges, crafting solutions withcurrent GE Automation and Controls offerings, and providing feedback intoproduct management for developing and meeting new requirements

  • Developeffective relationships with decision makers and executives at each customer

  • selling strategies for account, opportunity management, andtracking

  • Own theorders forecasting, sales pipeline, and overall relationship for each account

  • Leverage the“Big GE” by coordinating across multiple GE divisions to solve customerchallenges and enhance value and loyalty through the introduction of GECorporate programs. (e.g. Industrial Internet, Minds + Machines)

  • Demonstrate compliance to GE Spirit and Letter, law orgovernment regulation; report any associated risks


  • Provedexperience in Embedded and automation controls solution selling or closelyrelated OEM sales

  • Bachelordegree in technical discipline or equivalent experience in Automation sales

  • Significantexperience using strategic selling and value selling methodologies (e.g. MillerHeiman)

  • fluent in English and German, any additional language is a plus

  • Ability to travel 50-60%

  • Provenability to sell complex and custom solutions to OEMs in the Embedded business

  • Ability tocoordinate a cross-functional team approach in a complex sales cycle withNonRecurring Engineering fees

  • Provenexperience in closing million dollar plus deals with complex Terms andConditions

  • Demonstratedability to prospect and develop new accounts into a sustainable revenue stream

  • Demonstratedability to quickly build trust and rapport, and develop influentialrelationships at all levels of an organization
