Perform the daily operations of Composite plant to ensure safety, Quality, Delivery and costs of running the composite manufacturing plant. Owns/influences budgets and operating plans. The role is guided by operating policy. Works with cross functional teams. The role has full operational autonomy within the composite plant. The role is P&L. High levels of evaluative judgment and operational acumen are required to achieve outcomes.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead the composite plant operations, of the GE Aerospace Hungary production facility in order to reach defined targets in safety, quality, delivery and cost. Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards. Team management of salaried and hourly employees for the composite plant operations.
Will interpret internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.
Leads others to find creative solutions within complex manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Employs sophisticated operational/product management, manufacturing or engineering techniques. Interaction with adjacent functions needed to solve issues. Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision
Lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Presents business or technical discipline solutions to leaders. Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view. Influences peers to take action and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers
In the Operations Leader role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, lead the team through our lean transformation journey solving complex issues, performing long-term planning, and shaping business strategy
Additionally, as the Site Operations Leader, key responsibilities will include:
Drive our lean continuous improvement problem solving culture
Provide leadership to all organizations and individuals across the operations team in order to meet customer and business requirements
Provide development of staff leaders to guide operations and support organizations
Work with customers, functional leaders, and internal staff to meet organizational requirements
Refresh and execute the composite plant operations vision for success
Facilitate the operations leadership team in strategic decision-making and problem-solving
Provide operations leadership development and performance feedback
Develop and track expense and investment budgets with the input of each department across the site operations
Qualifications/Requirements :
This role requires significant experience in the Manufacturing & Operation Management.
Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience)
