General Electric Process Improvement Specialist - 30 hours/week in Veresegyhaz, Hungary

Job Description Summary

Proces Improvement Specialist will work closely with Production, F&M, Sourcing, Materials and IT teams and other GE factories on ERP and process improvement activities. Part-time position in 30 hours/week.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Production, F&M, Sourcing and Materials Management and support the function with quick update of critical parameters and ad-hoc reporting requests.

  • Work with IT and other GE factories to implement new processes in to make data maintenance easier and more efficient.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, finding gaps and low-hanging fruits, providing ideas and solutions, involving cross-functional resources.

  • Design and implement processes for data maintenance based on business requirements.

  • Behave and provide guidance and assistance as supply chain expert, understanding connection, impacts and implications between data, processes and operations.

  • Support Central Facilitator/Co-Facilitator role.

  • Ad hoc reports based on management request.

  • Controlling Business processes.

  • Responsible for the BOM/Routing synchronization for the main planning rules.

  • Report and determine the Kanban and KIT items, discuss it with production and modify them in the system.

  • Interfacing with engineers, sourcing, production, finance & customer specialists to ensure the correct flow of item creation and change requests. Setup items and suppliers in Oracle. Responsible for accurate item attributes

  • Facilitator/Co-Facilitator role in MM Support Central

  • Look for opportunities to Improve & simplify production and materials management transactional processes

  • Cooperate with other factories and Global Oracle team on process improvements and system enhancements in any of the concerned areas (lead and/or participate to projects)

  • Assist to Finance in closing and issue resolution. Check the result of interfaces run, make necessary action toward to IT in case of any issue. In case of any development in the system, own testing activities in Oracle, in engineering, inventory, WIP, order management module.

  • Track and drive of cycle time of item creation workflows

  • Execute development and maintenance of PSI workflows

  • Monitoring items LT and make sure the system reflects real operational capability

  • Coordinate the year-end BOM and Routing update

  • Coordinate the Year-end item costing in the system

Requirements:

  • Business or Technical University or College degree, preferably in with specialization in Logistics or Supply Chain

  • Relevant experience in MRP activities in one or more of the following areas: project management, operations, data management

  • Fluent Hungarian and English is a must

  • Strong manufacturing process background, deep Oracle and general ERP knowledge

  • Experience in purchasing, planning, warehousing and order management
