General Electric Lead Manufacturing Engineer in Veresegyhaz, Hungary

Job Description Summary

Work for a complete Manufacturing engineering program, including development of manufacturing processes for NPI’s and LEAN initiatives, especially on CAD/CAM programing and CNC programing support in milling technology. Documenting process changes, driving process/fixture improvements, driving lead- and cycle time improvements, Cost of Quality and EHS actions. Guarantee good process description and production control data (times, routings), implement productivity actions, review and make controls to support the manufacturing. Defining investment/expense needs, driving from preparing for approvals to completion. Participating in LEAN initiative, and using 6 sigma tools for process improvements.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

  • Work out the production technology for the NPI’s, LEAN developments (programming, tooling),

  • Working on CAD/CAM environment; create, process and test CNC programs,

  • Manage the first 5 sets production,

  • Daily product/manufacturing support in relevant areas,

  • Support the operative engineering team by technology experience,

  • Design necessary fixtures and tooling for manufacturing NPI’s and for process improvements,

  • Bring new ideas and positive support to the current process,

  • Implement productivity actions in order to improve the process and respect objectives,

  • Implement Cost of Quality actions in order to improve the process and respect objectives,

  • Prepares and drives approvals for strategic investment and expenses,

  • Participate in EHS related actions, to improve safety in own area,

  • Participates in LEAN initiative, driving workout actions to completion,

  • Develops FPQ/PLQ package for NPI’s,

  • Participate to improve manufacturing layout/flow analysis/workers and machine needs,

  • Active participation on mandatory EHS trainings and events.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical engineer BSc or MSc graduated

  • Methods/production significant experience

  • Experience in mechanical industry (heavy industry ideally)

  • Deep knowledge in CNC machine programming (experience with Heidenhein, Fanuc controllers is preferable)

  • Fluent in English and Hungarian

  • Knowledge in quality/productivity modern tools (Six Sigma, problem solving)

  • Team player behaviour, open minded and energetic personality

  • Able to work with office automation (Excel, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project etc.) software
