Job Description Summary
Lead Buyer will be responsible for driving Sourcing processes related to supply chain sourcing operations. Responsibility is to ensure the most efficient and accurate processing of all transactions with the overall goal of minimizing the total cost of transactions while orders are delivered on time and are of high quality.
Roles and Responsibilities
Drive product line level metrics improvement on fulfillment by not hurting cost and quality initiatives
Single point of contact for internal customers. Keep them updated on material arrivals and difficulties
Monitor & supervise PO accuracy involve Genpact team
Manage Genpact team on PO placing, need by date update, promise date collection, Invoice issue resolution and GRNI clean-up
Support Buyers to expedite and prioritize supply chain to meet factory need
Develop strong understanding of suppliers’ capacities, capabilities & processes to be able to improve their performance
Responsible for lead time reduction, ensure contract execution line market shares & agreed prices and drive identification of opportunities for cost savings
Support new supplier promotion, development
Manage and facilitate visits & regular conference calls with suppliers
Focus on key sourcing initiatives, continuous improvement and Lean methodology to mitigate fulfillment risk
Support Inventory preventing early deliveries and focusing on usage of slow movers
Manage regular forecasting process for stable material inflow
Drive new hire training and SOP creation and maintenance.
Support NPI activates
Update safety stock level regularly based on production volume
Maintain LOB on critical items to ensure supportive service level to production
Manage NCN process and communicate and collect Vendor Bill Back
Assist in maintaining supplier scorecards
Active participation on all training
BA, BSc degree in Business Management, Engineering or Technical Degree and /or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated experience in sourcing
Implementation of continuous improvement and quality improvement efforts.
Familiarity with ERP systems and integrations
Proficiency in MS office
Excellent communication, analytical, influencing and presentation skills
Good communication level of spoken and written English is essential
Team player attitude
Demonstrated skill in formal problem solving processes and tools.
Strong interpersonal skills; Able to forge internal customer and external supplier relationships.
Displays Courage & Candor in a respectful manner with internal stakeholders & customers.
Good People Management Skills.
