Job Description Summary

As the Staff Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for the product governance and product management to deliver market-competitive Commercial technology solutions to GE internal clients. You will be operating in lockstep with customer engagement, product development & operations, and leadership to drive successful delivery of products/services in Commercial Digital Technology (DT) team’s portfolio, partnering with functional stakeholders/teams and other DT teams across all GE businesses.
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Own and manage strategic roadmap, end-to-end lifecycle of product delivery, and product governance for Commercial DT product portfolio including intranet/internet websites, content management solutions, web/mobile applications, Enterprise SaaS applications/platforms i.e., Salesforce, and solutions like GDPR & GBlox, and business verticals.
Contribute to the entire lifecycle of product delivery, including Technical Product Owner duties developing and clarifying product roadmaps, user stories and features for development, storyboarding new features, and building rollout strategy.
Engage with internal customers/stakeholders in GE businesses by serving as their DT/IT trusted partner to understand business goals and processes, conduct VOCs and interviews, gather and analyze business requirements, and collect product/service feedback, to collaboratively build persona-based strategic product roadmap and deliver optimized technical solutions.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including internal customers/stakeholders, customer engagement, UIUX design, and product development & operations to deliver key products/services, new features, and ongoing enhancements.
Own and manage the product backlog with continuous grooming to ensure an agreed scope is ready to move into development, prioritize work in accordance with customer strategic needs and concerns/problems for the value delivery capabilities of the products.
Define and drive the product governance and product management for product delivery, apply principles of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and methodologies i.e., Lean, Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, Software/Product Security & Compliance.
Deeply understand GE’s Commercial technology landscape and continuously add values to the businesses as Commercial technology advisor and thought leader. Actively research, evaluate and learn current & emerging technology to keep up on industry and market trends.
Identify opportunities to leverage economies of scale, define/influence pricing strategy, define/rethink tech stack/architecture to establish the most cost-effective & value-added solutions, and partner across the Commercial DT and functional teams in all businesses to drive and execute Commercial technology strategy.
Lead software/service vendor management and technology evaluations, make recommendations from the evaluations including Build vs. Buy and enterprise software/service choices.
Manage security & compliance and asset review & management including Configuration Items for Commercial DT products/applications.
A Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or a related field plus 6+ years of professional relevant experience.
6+ years of professional experience in Digital Technology/Information Technology - Technical Product Management.

Demonstrates technical expertise and substantial experience in Web & Commercial technologies including websites and web applications, content management solutions, enterprise Commercial technologies i.e., Salesforce and integrations with other enterprise tools.
Strong skillset and extensive experience in technical product management and governance.
Experience in Agile/Scrum environment and with product management tools i.e., Aha, Rally, Jira. Be regarded as an expert in Agile methodology, and able to translate unstructured or ambiguous requirements/work requests into actionable user stories and work units through problem solving.
Possesses a deep understanding of the technology stack and impact on final product.
Evangelizes new technology, trends, and concepts beyond current offerings and considers business model innovations, product/service & delivery innovations.
Demonstrate excelling business acumen, knows the latest industry trends, and is regarded as an internal expert on Commercial DT technology as well as the associated competitive landscape.
Experience in key cross-functional work dynamics, with clear understanding on business/org priorities and how team/personal priorities are aligned to.
Ability to work effectively with customers, stakeholders, functional teams to understand their business processes and commercial operations, analyze and solve problems to drive value-added and optimal outcomes for the businesses.
Establishes and continuously builds relationships with customers/stakeholders and other DT teams, has ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with other GE businesses.
