Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

This is a mid-level role that requires applicants to possess an understanding of infrastructure security/hardening practices and tools, hands-on experience with securing infrastructure (OS, network, Cloud), and knowledge of system architecture and design.

In this role, you will:

• Demonstrate technical leadership and coaching experience, as well as expertise in securing cloud infrastructure and services, networks, compute, and storage

• Contribute to the design, development, and enforcement of infrastructure security controls, policies, and procedures

• Drive threat modeling exercises, lead security-focused architecture reviews, and validate security designs for infrastructure deployed in the cloud and on-premises

• Analyze, assess, and respond to various security threats

• Drive risk assessments for Cloud services and document secure configuration guidance to address security hygiene and/or regulatory requirements

• Continually evaluate new threats, solutions and the impact on IT and Business operations and balancing these needs to develop and implement the best security solutions for the business

• Partner with cloud and infrastructure teams, leaders, and product lines to provide consultative guidance, insight, and feedback as new technologies or products are explored

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 4 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 7 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 7 years of professional experience

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Cyber Security Architecture or IT

Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

Desired Characteristics

· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)

• Knowledge of CI/CD and automation tools (Chef, Git, Jenkins)

• Knowledge of Identity management and identity federation (SAML, Oauth, SCIM, XACML)

• Strong knowledge of Cyber Security, multiple related engineering functions, and application risk identification and evaluation techniques

• Proven understanding in networking and security engineering, technical approaches in design, building, testing, and debugging problems

• Possess an AWS or GCP certification relevant to role

• Experience with Microsoft PowerShell, Cloud Formation Templates and automating security processes or configuration within the cloud
