Job Description Summary
As the Enterprise Application Engineer, you will be working on multiple projects as a technical expert or internal consultant. You will work on projects for components of the domain. You will work on multiple technical or functional domains.
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Work hand in hand with development and support team in identifying & resolving issues directly with end users
Become an expert on product service within GE and accountable for identifying opportunities to improve overall user experience
Investigate data discrepancies and troubleshoot complex data flows
Be aware of system-wide changes and application deployments that might impact application availability for users
Partner with product teams to plan and test automation solutions
Develop and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure defect free releases
Work independently and deliver testing and use case creation which meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
Write effective tests according to best practices so that crucial functional requirements are verified and tests remain valid when code is refactored
Implement system-level integration testingSupport quality initiatives for continuous service improvement & optimizationIdentify efforts to improve and simplify End-User experience by reducing the volume of tickets, reducing touch points, improve accountability, and driving the usage of the self-service tools
Be skilled in core data structures and algorithm
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 1 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 4 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 6 years of professional experience

2-3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, systems analysis, or data engineering
Ability to write SQL queries to investigate data discrepancies
Experience performing manual and automated Quality Assurance processes, including review of requirements, writing and executing test cases, and reporting of test results to development team for remediation
Background and experience in emerging technologies in cloud, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
Experience with agile/iterative project methodology & tools
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong business analysis and problem solving skills
Proactively engages with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and design solutions using critical thinking and analytical skills and best practices
Ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with other GE businesses
Excellent communicator, works well in a team environment, and welcomes challenges
Self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment
Strong problem solving and analytical skills demonstrated the ability to assimilate new information and understand complex topic
Open to remote work in the Michigan area with occasional onsite collaboration
