General Electric Client Service Technician I in Trevose, Pennsylvania

Job Description Summary

In this role you will own the “first look” of troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform repair and planned maintenance (PM) on customers’ basic biomedical equipment. Perform preventative maintenance, inspections and/or field modifications on Ultrasound and X-ray equipment. Work and learn from some of our most skilled and experienced Field Engineers to evaluate basic customer biomedical equipment issues, implement repairs and assist with equipment installations.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Responds to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, and perform repair and planned maintenance on customers' basic biomedical equipment to support the ability to effectively deliver healthcare services to patients.

  • Performs Preventative Maintenance, Safety/Environmental Inspections, and Field Modification Instruction in one or more modalities of equipment, ensuring equipment and systems are fully operational to support the timely delivery of healthcare services to patients.

  • Maintains communication with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of experience servicing electrical equipment;

  • OR equivalent military education and 2+ years of experience servicing electrical equipment;

  • OR High School Diploma/GED and 4+ years of experience servicing electrical equipment.

  • Candidate must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time.

  • Candidate must also be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity. Specific vision abilities required by this job may include color, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License.

  • Willingness to be available ""after hours" or work a rotating On-Call schedule, including weekends, for critical issues and coverage, as necessary.
