Job Description Summary
The Senior Global Equipment Engineering is to be located at China where focus is on ensuring line equipment (LE) at plant is performing and any downtime is mitigated. Within the responsibilities of the role on site is, but not limited to, ensuring that new equipment on site is setup as per specification, technical EHS demands are followed, assist onsite in RCA’s where line equipment may be involved and reduce cost related to the line equipment – this includes assisting in setting up local suppliers to support on line equipment issues. As part of a global Tooling team, the role will also include leading and assisting global Tooling projects to develop, deliver and optimize equipment and technology for the manufacture of wind turbine blades, the role may also include supporting of other plants globally that may need technical support.
Roles and Responsibilities
Support China plants line equipment implementation, development and improvement to keep FUJ ramp up;
Act as the technical LE support / leader on M&ET projects
Bring expertise in supporting major industrial manufacturing equipment, to ensure suitable development and utilization of equipment and technology to improve manufacturing.
. Responsible for assisting in setting up best practices, standard procedures, specifications and processes that enable Tooling to deliver equipment to the highest level in an agile environment, ensuring (but not limited to) Cost-Out, EHS and compliance demands.
Master or bachelor’s degree in mechanical automation engineering or equivalent subject.
6+ years with practical & hands-on experience related to blade manufacturing equipment design/development and support, including a proven track record of supporting operations with regards to LE; Project Management experience.
Robust knowledge of key concepts of automation, blade manufacturing equipment, risk assessment, CE directive.
English spoken and written
Mobilize local supplier for onsite support and new development whenever needed.
Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic area is desirable
Beneficial: Programming (Ladder logic PLC, robotic and automotive equipment).
