General Electric Sr Project Management Manager in Tampere, Finland

Role Summary:Are you a professional with technical background - and eager to work in a role where you can make a big difference with your contribution? Join us now, as a Project Manager / Director for FACTS Tampere Operations team.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • In this position, you will be an integral and integrating part of the Operations team.

  • You will be responsible of leading international FACTS projects from base engineering to commissioning and handover to after sales team.

  • You’ll have the overall responsibility of the execution of the named project(s) in close cooperation with the technical project manager, project team and sub-contractors.

  • The job includes also coordination of the other multicultural GE units participating to the project.

Your duties would comprise of:

  • Management of project deliverable in accordance to the given budget and delivery time

  • Integrating internal and external stakeholders, incl. customers, towards the common goa

  • Scope management and securing that the various interfaces are seamless, no gaps or duplicates

  • Guiding customers to right direction and securing the projects goals by efficient change management

  • Internal and external communication and reporting

  • Participation to continuous development of project management procedures, methods and tools

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Significant experience on management of complex delivery projects, preferably on electrical substations or equipment

  • At least Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge or experience

  • Proven experience in Project Management and additional relevant experience in Project Leadership

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English (other language skill is a benefit)

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams and lead initiatives

  • Excellent ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously

  • Effective problem identification and solution skills, as well proven analytical and organizational ability

Desired Characteristics:

  • You preferably have working experience in an international environment, but above all we expect you to be a self-starter with high level of flexibility, resilience and self-learning attitude.

  • As a person, you are a solid team-player with good prioritizing, communication and leadership skills.

  • To have previous experience on electrical substations or equipment is preferable
