Job Description Summary
Sales Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company business goals. This role will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy. In this capacity you will be the focal point for New Units opportunities as allocated, engaging with the stakeholders from developers, EPCs, regulators and other relevant stakeholders to ensure GE technology is preferred.
Work with Energy Financial Services ( EFS) and Business Development team to identify early engagement opportunities with the view to position GE technology
Provide deal team guidance for related sales within an assigned sales region through the formulation and execution of proposal strategies that capitalize on GE's strengths to serve the customer's needs resulting in execution of definitive sales agreements
Manage the sales proposal process from opportunity identification through contract flow down to key GE organizations
Manage deal structuring, pricing and all other proposal development activities as the sales team's primary proposal interface with projects, platform, global operations, risk management and other functional groups as required
Manage deal strategy development and reviews, ultimately obtaining appropriate approvals for pricing, delivery and other commercial terms for specific sales proposals
Support sales/commercial directors with direct customer negotiations as required
Identifying new opportunities and creating sales data/statistics for the assigned sales region. Understand the market dynamics and intel, coming up with a clear go to market strategy for the sales region.
Maintain knowledge of market trends, customer requirements, competition actions, and customer base
Work with Marketing to develop new products and services for business growth
Manage and participate in Lean projects to improve the sales proposal process and faster proposal turnaround.
Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent discipline.
At least 8 years experience in Sales or Marketing. Successful track record in developing repowering deals is an added advantage
Good exposure to energy, transmission & distribution, oil & gas, and industrial markets.
