Job Description Summary
Strategic purchasing of key commodities within the Grid Solution and Business unit sourcing strategy, with the objective to provide the Unit with the needed goods and services at the right cost, the right time and the right quality.
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
- Sourcing Strategy
Participate in the definition of the GS and Units Sourcing Strategy from local within GS sourcing network, analyze, propose, recommend and implement the Unit Sourcing Action Plans in order to optimize the cost, quality and delivery of purchases
- Sourcing aspects
Responsibility for analyzing the market, searching and developing new suppliers in order to build a strong supplier panel for business units in China with coordination to Central sourcing organization.
Manage and supervise the supplier portfolio (balance workload and resources) in order to reach good supplier performance
- Negotiation aspects
Responsibility for negotiations with suppliers of all kinds of agreements in order to optimize the price level, to ensure on time delivery and delegate quality control within PL and Grid sourcing organization
Propose the right allocation with considering the needs from BUs and ensure the implementation of the allocation
- Cost reduction
Drive continues deflation results for commodities in the scope through different leverages, supplier negotiation, re-design to cost, transfer to BCC suppliers, etc. to meet the expectation of product cost out from the business
- BCC %
Ensure % of BCC purchase for commodities in scope
Support HCC units to source from China for commodities in scope
- Communication management
Ensure good, transparent and effective communication to PL Sourcing and internal customers (ie.Project buyers) in order to use efficiently the given resources
- Reporting
Produce, analyze and provide Unit’s Sourcing indicators in order to pilot Business Sourcing Strategy and Unit Action Plans
Qualifications Required
University degree in Economics/Industrial/Mechanical
Sourcing/Supply chain trainings
3-5years experience in EU/US background company
3year experience of industrial Sourcing; Mechanical background is preferred
