Responsible for improving key processes that influences Turn Around Time (TAT) / On Time Delivery (OTD), productivity growth and customer satisfaction through Lean deployment framework (GEAPS - GE Aviation Production System). Work closely with stakeholders to define the business cases and have the ability to work with various levels across the production shop to affect short term and long-term business goals.
Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional team empowered to execute the Lean strategy for process improvement.
Deliver breakthrough levels of improvement in achieving TAT, Labor productivity and attain world-class levels of quality through application of Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
Facilitate workouts and driving continuous improvement activities throughout the value stream to achieve business results. Serve as Change Agent.
Improve the adoption of GEAPs to improve the Operations Management Review (OMR) score and to improve the Lean Culture. Support Brilliant factory deployment.
Facilitate, train, and coach team members in the use of Lean Six Sigma tools
Work with operating leaders and teams to uncover and assess Lean Six Sigma opportunities for Shop and its suppliers.
Constantly seek, share, and implement best practices.
Apply Lean Six Sigma tools to improve process capability and eliminate defects.
Lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams.
Communicate teams’ progress to Champions, Business Leaders, and the Lean Leader
Identify potential process improvement projects
To be successful in this role, you would possess and/or demonstrate the following:
• Bachelor's degree in either Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited local or internationally recognised university or college
• A CGPA score of 3.5 and above or GPA score of 3.0 and above.
• Ability to work with cross functional teams to drive process improvement
• Black Belt Certification is essential, although those with Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Certification will be considered.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or maintenance repair & overhaul (MRO) environment would be advantageous.
• Proven analytical and improvement ability .
• Experience in Materials Planning function will be added advantage
Green Belt / Black Belt - Project Experience / Certified
Experience in Materials / Inventory Analytics
Hands on experience in statistical tools using Minitab, Other softwares,etc,.
Exposure to any production system such as Toyota Production system, etc,.
Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Ability to influence others and Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
Effective problem identification and solution skills.
