Job Description Summary

We are seeking a Warehouse-Logistic Specialist to oversee operations at our Stafford Manufacturing facility.

This skilled multitasker will manage the receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities of the warehouse, ensuring that quality standards are met or exceeded.

The candidate must achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate order fulfilment whilst adhering to Civil Aviation Security protocols.

The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail-oriented and able to manage multiple facets of warehouse operations simultaneously.

Job Description

Objectives of this role

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.

  • Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.

  • Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency — by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals.

  • Work collaboratively with the Shipping department ensuring Business priorities are executed effectively and efficiently.

  • Continue to Develop our warehouse operating system (PPS – Pick, Pack Ship), improving storage utilization, work processes and procedures reducing errors.

  • Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.

  • Review and manage Overtime, shift and staffing requirements on a weekly basis. Ensure sufficient cover during employee absence.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily Warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, productivity, shipping, and customer service.

  • Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance when necessary.

  • Meet daily with Warehouse employees to analyse Key performance indicators, these include Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery.

  • Oversee and manage logistics for transporting products to customers and company facilities, communicating with drivers to ensure efficient delivery of packages.

Required skills and qualifications.

  • Required to be Consignor trained (this requires the CAA to evaluate 5 years employment history)

  • Possesses DBS Clearance or is willing to undertake check.

  • Experience in a warehouse role managing hourly employees.

  • Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities

  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff.

  • Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • CAA Known Consignor Certification

  • College / University qualification in logistics or supply chain management

  • Proficient using SAP.

  • License to operate a forklift
