Role Summary:

The Sr Staff Infrastructure Architect will lead, consult or oversee multiple architectural engagements working on multiple projects in a technical domain as a technical expert or internal consultant. You will work on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge of two or more specialized architecture areas. You will work across multiple technical or functional domains.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction across multiple teams or complex applications infrastructure.

  • Analyze, design and develop a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.

  • Review and/or analyze and develop architecture at domain level and across multiple teams.

  • Participate in the business-wide Infrastructure architecture and domain governance model.

  • Contribute to the development of software, data, and technology. Contribute to the designs and deployment of infrastructure solutions meeting standardization, consolidation, TCO, security, regulatory compliance and application system qualities, for different businesses.

  • Lead the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities to for multiple teams or complex scenarios.

  • Provide leadership, technology guidance and mentors others throughout the domain. Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Network, storage or virtualized/cloud computing infrastructure OR a Master’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience.Eligibility Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Desired Characteristics:

  • Participates in enterprise infrastructure strategy development, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, value cases and business innovation portfolio development.

  • Reviews and/or analyzes and develops infrastructural architectural requirements at domain level, aligning architectural requirements with software development strategy.

  • Evangelizes modern technologies to operations teams and stakeholders

  • Strong distributed systems and architecture knowledge, and experience with multi-tier architecture

  • Experience working directly with Cloud providers/infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP etc.), physical/hybrid data centers, database technologies, operating systems (Windows, Linux) and orchestration tools (Chef, puppet)

  • Experience with DEV Ops tools and Implementing Cloud operations processes around Deployment, Security Logging, System monitoring and Network monitoring.

  • Prior experience with working across the full technology stack, including the use of Cloud hosting and micro-services architecture

  • Strong experience launching a SaaS product for commercialization

  • Experience with delivering solutions based on enterprise application and web server technologies like Apache, Tomcat, JBoss etc

  • Strong understanding of cyber security principles and technologies

  • Strong networking knowledge, and understanding of networking concepts like routers, switches, routing protocols, BGP, Firewalls etc
