General Electric ACSC Services 3rd Shift Coach in Springdale, Ohio

Job Description Summary

Operational leader of multiple teams at the ACSC Services shop, which delivers repaired hardware to both internal and external customers around the world on all major commercial engine programs. This role is responsible for providing daily work direction to production associates and owns the team’s safety, quality, TAT, Yield and productivity/cost metrics. Also responsible for creating a LEAN strategy and for cultivating a culture of continuous improvement within the teams. Requires ability to understand complex and highly technical concepts in order to support structures hardware processing.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for key Business Metrics: Compliance, Safety, Quality, Turn Around Time (TAT), Yield, On Time Delivery, Productivity/Costs

  • People Leadership & Management to include: hiring, discipline, coaching, Overtime, Vacation, strategic headcount planning, and business presentations

  • Provides daily work direction to front-line manufacturing employees

  • Sets and communicates priorities to all shifts, including other salaried peers

  • Assists peers in the development of an operational plan for teams and owns execution to plan in support of customer goals

  • Connects dots across technologies to develop cross-technology solutions with partnership with other functions both inside and outside of the site

  • Lead cross-functional projects / teams to deliver technology solutions for the business

  • Ability to present to senior GE leaders (EB, SEB+) as well as external customers (Airlines, MRO’s, etc.) in specific technical space and on cross functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to overall strategy

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at

least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing). Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in

Operation Management.

Characteristics:

influence others and lead small teams. Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact. Ability to

coordinate several projects simultaneously. Effective problem identification and solution skills.

Proven analytical and organizational ability. Ability to have tough conversation and lead through challenges.

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
