Ge Aviation is looking for a talented accounting and finance candidate to serve on the leadership team of the service repair site as an operational finance business partner to the organization, including plant and business leaders.

This person will help ensure that the financial objectives of the business are achieved while balancing other key priorities including safety, quality, employee relations, and customer delivery (turn around time and on time delivery). This role serves as the site controller ensuring timely, reliable and accurate financial reporting.

This role will also act as the FP&A leader by strategically establishing operating plans by business unit and conducting proper analysis to monitor performance to financial targets and measures consistency with strategic objectives.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Drive monthly close process to ensure books are accurate and complete

  • Establish site operating budget for shop expense including headcount, OT, purchased services, maintenance, construction rearrangement, etc.

  • Responsible for leading the financial forecasting cycles for the business – long term strategy review, budget review, & weekly pulses at each level of the organization

  • Partner with site Plant Leader to drive productivity & cost out initiatives

  • Create and/or assess business plans for key repair industrializations and CAPEX investment decisions to ensure ROI and payback is in-line with business expectations

  • Analyze the performance and propose action plans to improve profitability and cash generation, as well as corrective action plans as needed

  • Prepare the monthly reporting package that includes financial statements and comprehensive Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting

  • Partner with site HRM and Plant Leader to establish and monitor strategic workforce planning

  • Manage small team responsible for the financial activities at the site; responsible for work and development of others

  • Define, create and maintain key decision support review tools, including financial dashboards, data populations, and detailed analytical excel-based reporting

  • Handle complex tasks or problems that impact the function - offer solutions to problems and provide recommendations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 8 years of experience in Finance)

  • 6+ years Finance experience in roles with progressive responsibility

  • 2+ years with Aviation Finance
