General Electric Technical Regulations & Standards (TR&S) Data Analyst in Skaneateles, New York

Role Summary:

This role will provide subject matter expertise to ensure compliance with product-related environmental regulation for the GEIT business. This mission will be accomplished through acting across the matrix organization structure, and in coordination with various functions within GEIT, as well as outside regulatory agencies.

In the role of Technical Regulations & Standards (TR&S) Data Analyst, you will:

  • Environmental Compliance - Data Collection, Storage, and Maintenance. Work closely with quality, technology, and sourcing teams to ensure global RoHS, WEEE, Battery, and REACH environmental data is collected, analyzed, reported, and actioned. Coordinate activities with third party for maintaining RoHS compliance database

  • RVI / Global TRS Sustaining Projects – Support TRS sustaining RVI or global project tracking and metrics for projects such as EU RoHS III project, or project to replace EN 60950 with EN 62368. Maintain GTS product licenses based on TRS holds review meeting

  • Global Product Certifications - Will be responsible for reviewing and updating GEIT product certifications for all products within 6 months of their expirations date. This includes (but is not limited to) wireless device certifications and pattern approvals that have defined expirations

  • Customer inquiries – Respond to internal and external customer requests for declarations, certifications, and proof of compliance to all TRS regulationsProduct Marking – Working with engineering team, ensure that products are marked in accordance with applicable technical regulations and standards legislation

  • Scheduling - Work with engineering team and NRTL / NB’s for quoting, invoicing, and scheduling product certifications

  • Technical file maintenance - Maintain technical construction files for all RVI products Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Associates Degree from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution with a minimum 4 years of experience in compliance)

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in compliance Desired Characteristics:

  • Certified Six Sigma BB or GB (Internal GE Only)

  • Significant environmental compliance and regulatory experience (WEEE, REACH & RoHS)

  • Familiarity with Conflict Minerals legislation

  • Experience with GE Inspection Technologies products, or experience in the Oil and Gas industry

  • Must have a working knowledge of global environmental and regulatory compliance initiatives including RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Battery registrations, and take back programs

  • Must have a working knowledge of Engineering change process and MRP systems (SAP, EHSM, and GTS) module for TR&S

  • Working knowledge of M&C or O&G processes (e.g. NPI / ITO / OTR / Commissioning / Sourcing)

  • Demonstrated ability to use data tools & databases, desktop applications, and GEIT software tools (GE Box, Support Central, etc.)

  • Strong interpersonal and written & verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills

  • Project Management Skills

  • Team player with a global perspective

  • Self-motivated, must be able to multi-task in a dynamic environment and handle pressure from project schedule and technical challenge
