Job Description Summary

The Senior Sales Leader has commercial and sales responsibility for selected ASEAN Countries and leading a team of Country sales leaders, account managers and dotted line team of specialist sales resources.

You owner the Grid Solutions commercial business issues and interfaces with other GE Businesses on internal and external matters for the defined countries.

The key focus is to drive profitable growth, develop new business, increase share in key accounts and achieve the orders, margin, down payments and past dues operating plan and other country specific and product line commercial KPI’s for defined ASEAN countries. You will also define and drive ecosystem development and go-to-market strategies for the defined countries.

High levels of Commercial judgment, sales management, business development and team management skills are required to identify and drive new areas of growth and achieve the defined Operating Plan for Grid Solutions for the target countries.

To drive profitable growth, develop new business, increase share in key accounts, define and drive ecosystem development and go-to-market strategies for the defined countries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and execute a strategic business plan for the defined ASEAN cluster and country specific sales plans to successfully deliver the targets for orders, margin, down payments and past dues and other country specific and product line commercial KPI’s.

  • Create a high-performance sales team and achieve best in class sales / account management, coaching country sales leaders / account managers / product sales specialists to deliver excellence in account management, establishment of strong customer relationships and tailored value propositions matched to customer pain points.

  • Responsible for sales of the full Grid Solutions portfolio of products, services, solutions, and projects across the cluster including direct and indirect business.

  • Assess the most effective Go-to-market model for each customer, country, and segment to achieve the operating plan and coordinate with the Product Sales Leaders and Channel Leaders to ensure alignment.

  • Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.

  • Head the sales team to find creative solutions to address complex projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customers. Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at outcomes and conclusions.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and Master’s Degree in any discipline is a plus;

  • Employment experience in multinational organization and highly matrix and competitive business environment;

  • At least 10 years’ experience on sales leadership position, with track record in achieving 100% sales target for at least 2 years, and in developing new business approaches for a range of established and new customer segments.

  • Good English communication is must, proficient in second language is plus.

  • Team player with excellent communication, highly developed EQ, interpersonal and facilitation skills and demonstrated success in working across functions, teams, and product portfolios.

  • Established network of industry, customer, and partner contacts within the utilities sector and other industrial sectors for grid automation, services, and high voltage solutions.
