Job Description Summary
Install, maintain, and repair internal factory equipment and site facilities. Supervise employees who perform maintenance and facilities on the site. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.
The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead and motivate the Maintenance & Facilities Organization in up-keeping Company’s physical assets, equipment, buildings and utilities services.
Coordinate projects on plant construction/extension and equipment installation/alteration
Work with Stakeholders on Smart Factory & Sustainability program development and implementation
Establish program to manage and control maintenance spare part store and inventory.
Provide relevant technical guidance to the production shops on equipment performance specifications, acquisition, design, installation and maintenance
Develop preventive maintenance programs to maximize the operating efficiency of the facilities and equipment at optimal maintenance cost and minimal unplanned downtime and ensure long-term sound and safe operation of equipment and facilities in meeting business goals.
Ensure meeting of expense budgets
Ensure timely availability of the right spares in support of an effective and efficient preventive maintenance program while controlling the spares inventory at an optimal and cost effective level
Ensure that all plant and equipment installation are in conformance with GE policies and local regulatory code of practices and legal requirement
Required Qualifications:
This role requires 10 years experience in the Manufacturing & Equipment Maintenance.
3 - 5 years of Experience in managing and leading a team
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Facility Management from an accredited university or college ( or a technical diploma with significant relevant experience).
Knowledge of OSHA and industrial safety regulations
Knowledge of environmental control, safety engineering, construction and structural engineering
Sound knowledge of facilities and equipment installation and maintenance
Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma tools and philosophy
