General Electric Lead Engineer - Global Repair Productivity in Singapore, Singapore
Job Description Summary
As part of the Repair Value Stream (RVS) Productivity Team, the Repair Component Productivity & Operations Leader will lead a cross-functional engineering and operations team to develop and lead execution of strategy to maximize gas turbine component repair quality and productivity across the network of global service centers. This role will also serve as focal for repair product cost out (PCO) measurement, reporting and targets.
Role has significant input into priorities and have moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Own the Product Cost Strategy (PCO) strategy for assigned GT parts to include targets, project pipeline, and project execution.
Lead the associated Global Component Team(s) ensuring repair center productivity, standardization, and globalization
Report progress on project execution and PCO savings vs plan to Business Leadership
Facilitate teamwork and communication between Shop Operations Leaders, Repair Engineering, Lean, Sourcing, IT, and MYA P6 teams ensuring each function is aligned to business needs for product cost competitiveness
Partner with Lean Team to establish world-class repair flow lines
Lead Action Workouts to develop project pipeline, conduct shop-shop comparisons, and share best practices.
Prioritize Engineering, Lean, and other PCO projects balancing productivity, growth, and NPI resources to drive the right outcomes.
Serve as focal for repair cost monitoring, PCO reporting, and target setting. Support report outs to Senior Leadership and other stakeholders
Work with RVS Leadership and the Productivity, Lean, Technology, and Shop teams to ensure repair cost & cycle data is actionable and accurate to execute meaningful outcomes for our customers that are in line with business/functional objectives.
Partner with IT to develop automated solutions that enable exceptional execution of repair
Required Qualifications
For roles outside of the USA- This role requires significant experience in the Engineering/Technology & Life Cycle Productivity. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 3 years of experience in in engineering or manufacturing/services operations
