Job Description Summary

The role will cover broad range of site HRM duties, operationally and client focused, other than leading execution of key business initiatives to continuously improve the employee experience, drive HR functional excellence and process improvement. The incumbent will be also be responsible for the successful implementation of projects and will provide insight, guidance and direction to the team in order to ensure a great employee experience for the Gas Power team. This role will report to Regional Gas Power Global Supply Chain HRBP.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • You will be the HR Partner supporting the Repair site in Singapore and you will manage all HR-related matters for the plant.

  • You will be responsible for the full cycle scope of HR for a plant that is a manufacturing and supply chain center for the world.

  • You will have the autonomy to make crucial decisions for the plant and work with a diversified workforce and stakeholders.

  • You will provide HR support for client group Leaders, Managers and Employees on organizational and employee matters, as well as coaching, HR process expertise and other general HR activities.

  • You will help to drive competitiveness of the site and play a crucial role in managing our talent to achieve the KPIs of the plant.

  • You will be involved in training efforts to upgrade our employees to the next level and make sure we can execute on cost and deliverable timelines.

  • Work closely with the supply chain team and regional HR community.

  • Be involved in training initiatives for employees and will work closely with site leadership to drive this.

  • Build the strategy for talent, build succession planning pipelines and grow our internal talent to take on other roles.

  • Work to improve collaboration with the different HR COE’s in order to ensure a complete service to meet business needs

  • Strong exposure to senior leadership globally and in the region

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 8 years’ professional work experience in the Human Resources function in an international HR environment

  • Previous HR Client support experience is highly advantageous in a manufacturing set up

  • High level of independence and learning agility

  • Ability to support employees at all levels, and collaborate with senior leadership

  • Ability to make executive level presentations.

  • Proven analytical and problem resolution skills.

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong understanding of Power Industry or Repair site

  • Prior experience of working with unions and leading Collective Agreements

  • Strong internal and external customer service focus, with a genuine desire to assist others and outside your local boundaries

  • Prior experience leading a team of professionals, in a type of open and experimental environment

  • Lean experience

  • Enthusiastic team player and open to innovate

  • Approachable and responsive resource able to connect with employees at all levels

  • Comfortable with high volume workload and able to manage multiple priorities: ability to prioritize

  • Not afraid to "roll up your sleeves" and get involved in detail

  • Strong presentation skills and facilitation experience, needed to effectively deliver a variety of HR-related training programs to groups of managers/colleagues

  • Detail-oriented (especially with regard to effectively managing and documenting employee relations issues and investigations

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
