Job Description Summary

AKA (ASEAN, Korea and ANZ) is a key growth region for GE Healthcare with an aspiration to reach >$1B over next 3 years by accelerating penetration in existing market/customer segments and expanding into adjacencies. Given AKA region’s growth ambitions, we are seeking a Marketing Strategy Professional to optimize expansion in existing markets, identify new growth markets, create strategies/proposals and execute on those opportunities in collaboration with sub-region organization. On a day-to-day basis, the role holder will work directly with Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer for AKA region and sub-regional leadership including Marketing, Commercial Excellence, Product, Sales and Service leaders and will be key point of contact for global market/competitive intelligence, commercial and marketing teams. You must be able to thrive in a fast-moving, highly matrixed environment. You are results-oriented, highly-motivated, able to develop and implement complex growth projects. You must be flexible and have a “can do”, positive attitude and be passionate about selling a vision to senior executives.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Market Analysis & Reporting:

  • Analyse and forecast commercial performance at aggregate AKA region including market, share, visibility and win-rate by co-ordinating with commercial excellence / marketing teams across different product groups/regions.

  • Identify consolidated drivers of strength and weakness in market, competitive intelligence/competitor strategies/actions, and underlying secular themes to explain commercial performance and areas for targeting counter-measures.

  • Periodically report actual and forecasted performance of commercial metrics to AKA and GEHC leadership via standard mechanism such as MOR or Monthly Ops Review.

Marketing Strategy Development:

  • Frequently collaborate with Marketing, BU and external 3rd parties to identify potential areas of adjacencies that can deliver operating margin growth

  • Validate growth opportunities by conducting deep research and analysis on critical and prioritized problems, including market dynamics, customer behavior, unmet needs and best practice case studies;

  • Organize cross-functional/BU session and workshop to share findings, evaluate options define potential solutions, and build associated business case;

  • Ultimately, s/he will establish well supported solutions with specific recommendations that will enable executive management team to make critical go/no go decisions.

AKA-Wide Strategic Project Execution:

  • Using GEHC AKA region growth strategy as input lead implementation of a list of prioritized AKA wide strategic projects (e.g. GEHC Brand Campaign, Strategic Accounts Offer Development, Strategic Commercial Partnerships) in partnership with cross-BU/cross functional teams.

  • Employ best-in-class project management framework (e.g. owner, milestones, transformation), operating mechanisms/review cadence (e.g. bi-weekly, monthly) to deliver on time/on-budget and regularly update management on status and progress.

Long-Term and Annual Planning Process:

  • The position holder will support AKA strategic planning process (Long Term Strategy and Annual Planning/SII) including forecasting commercial metrics, executing customer VoC, investment business case development and prioritization.

  • Interface with global BU/Marketing/Strategy functions to ensure contribution of AKA perspective in the BU level and GEHC level long term strategy development process. Partner with Finance/FP&A and other AKA planning functions during planning process

Quality Specific Goals:

Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required Responsible for ensuring legal and regulatory approval of all marketing communications prior to external release

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field 8+ years’ experience in marketing, product marketing or related field Leadership skills – capable of leading teams and shaping strategy Project management skills – capable of executing projects on time and on budget Team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams Influencing skills – ability to motivate individuals and demonstrate organizational influence Excellent oral and written communications skills Strong analytical and process skills

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field 10+ years’ experience in marketing, product marketing or related field Past experience in management, advisory and consulting experience preferred Deep expertise in market & customer insights, product commercialization and branding Healthcare product/industry acumen
