General Electric Director, Commercial Treasury - ASEAN in Singapore, Singapore

Role Summary:

Responsible for improving P&L and balance sheet efficiency by proactively engaging with business commercial, BD and WCS teams to develop treasury and working capital solutions that minimize risks and costs for industrial business verticals in ASEAN.

Essential Responsibilities:

Commercial Treasury

• Drive sales, revenue and cash generation together with the GE frontline commercial & finance team by providing treasury solution to win

• Identify business needs and deliver trade finance solutions collaborating with the Global Trade Finance (GTF) team

• Provide FX and exposure advisory focusing on structuring trade flows in connection with the local FX and Capital control rules and regulations to minimize restricted cash

• Act as BHGE business treasury contact point of the ASEAN region, supporting BHGE businesses to grow in the region.

• Review and assess payment terms and payment instruments, to ensure safe and secure contract cash generation, while seeking monetization opportunity as required

Working Capital Solution (WCS)

• Develop close collaborative relations with local GE Industrial contacts at the client to maximizing account receivables opportunities for WCS to benefit cash for the GE Industrials

• Own all key client relationships in APAC and maintain account plan

• Implement strategy for the client relationship and be responsible for delivering business objectives including monetized volume/balance, number of new integrations and supported NPI’s

External Funding & Bank relationship

• Arrange suitable external funding arrangements where internal funding is not optimal

• Structure transactions effectively and in compliance with regulations and GE norms

• Optimize ALM in business balance sheets

Others

• Front end advisor on structuring including pricing, funding, hedging, cross border cash movements, regulatory considerations (including dealing with regulators as needed), bank management and infrastructure for BD M&A, divestiture transactions

• Support commercial treasury activities in Japan, Australia and New Zealand as needed

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or economics

• Minimum of 10 years of treasury experience with multinational corporations

• Self-starter with strong project management

• Strong communications and influencing skills to lead cross-functional teams

• Experience working in global business environment with a sound understanding of global process and transactional flows

• Ability to create and deliver business presentations and communicate effectively to Senior Business Leaders

• Strong analytic skills, and ability to identify issues and present optimal solutions

Desired Characteristics:

• MBA preferred

• Treasury experience in business, joint venture, Corporate Treasury, or a bank

• High tenacity to maintain performance stability under time pressure

• High energy and self-motivated, with strong desire to learn, especially in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Adaptable/flexible: being open to change (positive or negative) in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
