General Electric Warehouse Supervisor in Shreveport, Louisiana

Job Description Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor will lead the receiving and stock replenishment team in our main warehouse. This role will also be responsible for inventory accuracy, various KPI reports, and will ensure all EHS protocols are followed.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee warehouse team through training, supervision, and appraisals

  • Oversee receiving, warehousing and distribution of materials

  • Ensure incoming receipts are processed correctly and timely

  • Maintain warehouse team technology needs

  • Maintain all records (receipt reports, reconciliation reports, cycle counts and inventory reports)

  • Devise plans for required overtime

  • Perform consistent cycle counts and required physical inventories

  • Root cause inventory inaccuracies

  • Implement best work practices

  • Administer stock controls

  • Oversee tool crib and VMI

  • Ensure expired materials are identified and stored appropriately

  • Ensure toxic substances are handled and stored appropriately

  • Ensure compliance with all EHS guidelines

  • Achieve business-directed inventory accuracy

  • Ensure work orders for maintenance needs are input and completed

  • Coordinate and complete all claims from carrier damage

  • Assist in inventory plans (reductions, SMI/Obsolescence usage)

  • Maintain clean, professional work areas

  • Fill in for Shipping/Logistics Leader when needed

  • Create and maintain necessary or assigned KPIs

  • All other assigned duties

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma

  • Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Materials, Shipping or Receiving teams.
