General Electric Quality and Calibration Tech in Shreveport, Louisiana
Role Summary:The Quality and Calibration Tech will provide product quality review associated with the manufacturing process. Positions requiring understanding of a concepts, methods and procedures. Candidate will contribute to Quality Processes and ISO Audits. Responsible for maintaining calibrations and tracking matrix.
Ownership includes both quality assurance and quality control
Includes quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes. Includes conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc. Executes routine analyses using vested methods and technologies and/or contributes to technological developments in teams under supervision
Works together with people from the business unit
Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards collecting or giving technical information
Works within a team setting and / or under guidance
Alternatively: executing routine but complex analysis
Responsible for maintaining the calibration tracking matrix
Responsible for adding new equipment to the calibration tracking matrix
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the calibration of all tools, gauges, and equipment on the calibration tracking matrix
Quality Process and ISO :
Responsible for updating and maintaining all existing Work Instructions
Responsible for coordinating the writing and development of new Work Instructions as needed
Responsible for updating and maintaining the local Quality Drive
Responsible for updating and maintaining all existing company policies in the area of Quality and ISO
Responsible for coordinating the writing and development of new procedures relating to Quality and ISO
Will learn and become well versed in the ISO standard and play a key role in training colleagues on ISO standards, and in the performing of the actual ISO audits.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to work independently
Strong problem solving skills
