Primary Responsibilities:

• Set up team objectives and goals that is aligned with the business strategy, establish operation metrics and discipline

• Lead and direct GE Renewable Energy China Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) activities focusing on sourcing quality management including supplier assessment, qualification, and surveillance, control non-conformance, cost of quality and RCA/CA etc., ensure the product quality meet the requirements

Drive supplier self-reliance though rigorous and effective process control in supplier approval, qualification and surveillance audit Monitor supplier non-conformance performance, and drive root-cause analyses, corrective actions, prevent actions, and process improvements to reduce defects escape and Cost of Quality Drive supplier implementing APQP, risk management and problem solving capability improvement Work closely with commercial, engineering and manufacturing teams to eliminate any barriers that may affect the quality and delivery of sourced components

• Establish a structured approach to improve suppliers’ quality system management and quality reliability, drive consistency and adherence to quality procedures.

• Manage and tracking supplier fulfillment and PO execution effectively

• Monitoring supplier EHS performance to meet the requirements of GE and government regulations

• Manage SQE resources to provide technical guidance to a global supplier base to assure product and process compliance with the drawings and specifications

• Timely coaching the team member to ensure competency meeting the job requirements

Qualifications Required:

• BS/MS degree from an accredited university or college with major on material science engineering, or mechanical engineering

• At least 10+ years of manufacturing, engineering, and quality experience in power equipment for global market in low cost countries.

• International perspective, culturally adaptable with the first-hand experience of supplier quality management and team leader

• Familiar with Customs related laws, regulations’ good understanding of international customs related laws and regulations is a plus

• Experience in supplier qualification, surveillance, manufacturing assessment and supplier development
