Job Description Summary
The Lead Technical Program Manager will join an experienced team of professionals in charge with ensuring all aspects of quality compliance for a rapidly growing portfolio of trademark agreements. This role is critical in driving product quality with licensees and managing one of GE’s most important assets -the GE brand.
Role Summary: The Lead Technical Program Manager will join an experienced team of professionals in charge with ensuring all aspects of quality compliance for a rapidly growing portfolio of trademark agreements. This role is critical in driving product quality with licensees and managing one of GE’s most important assets -the GE brand.
Lead and execute the quality processes for all New Product Introduction (NPI) and 2nd source projects to ensure adequate quality per contract requirements.
Communicate with licensees to finalize new concept review, product specification/ qualification plans and other technical elements.
Conduct NPIs tollgate review process (ie. Product release, sign off on technical review, etc)
Provide technical expertise and recommendation for all products under management identifying areas of risks and mitigation.
Monitor supplier activities to ensure the compliance with GE product quality policies, including but not limited to regular supplier audits.
Set up working processes with licensees to ensure consistent product quality and decrease GE's risk.
Provide qualification reports; work with licensee closely to address and solve all product issues.
Control product quality / oversee conformance tests and on-site inspections to protect GE’s image.
Master’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
7+ years’ experience in design of control of Power Electronics / Electrical design or program management for Electronics / Electrical products.
Experience with Electronic Circuit Layout and Design, including the software evaluation.
Proficient in using quality tools like the SPC, DFMEA/PFMEA, CONTROL PLAN, DOE etc.
Experienced in new product introduction tollgate review and risk assessment.
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certified preferred.
Familiar with 6 sigma and Lean manufacturing methodology
Aware of reliability requirement and tools for electronic products
Strong project management skills (scope definition, cost and schedule control) and supplier management
Able to effectively communicate with various functions, suppliers and licensees.
Displays a “can-do” attitude, and is a strong team player
Pro-active and able to deliver within deadlines.
Strong presentation skills
Strong oral and written English
