General Electric Lead Supplier Quality Engineer in Shanghai, China

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support to drive growth in business cooperation, prevent or resolve quality issues that could impact business growth in the region.

  • Primary Technical/quality Interface with Suppliers and work closely with various divisions of GE Renewable Energy on the following:

·Conduct technical assessment and SRG surveys on suppliers and sub-tiers as necessary, for supplier approvals

·Conduct First Piece Qualifications(FPQ) and Pilot Lots Qualification(PLQ) for NPI Programs, Cost-Out projects, and quality programs.

·Conduct Product/Process Surveillance Audits with suppliers according to Quality Control Plan (QCP)

·Manage Corrective Action Resolution, lead and verify the Corrective action/preventive action implementation for non-conforming products and audit findings.

·Be Communication Interface with Business SQE/Eng./MPE etc.

·Regular supplier performance review, such as SDR/NCR/service cases review and Critical-To-Quality Review etc.

·Drive continuous improvement of supplier’s quality and fulfillment

·Support supplier quality initiatives, i.e. post-FPQ, quality system, lean, process control improvements

·Monitor supplier quality metrics and report regularly to SQM and global team

·Conduct TRS survey and SRG audit regularly as required

Qualifications/Requirements

  • BS/MS metal material engineering or mechanical Engineering. Hands-on experience in manufacturing (shop floor), Quality, or Supplier quality management experience is required

  • At least 5 years’ experience in manufacturing process, quality control, supplier management etc.

  • Product experience in bearing manufacturing is strongly preferable.

  • Excellent English communication skills in both oral and written are required
