Job Description Summary

All activities relating to enhancing services technology integrating customer data, or capturing engines/products reliability, availability, maintenance, safety and other performance parameters. Includes hourly, nonexempt and exempt employees as well as manager roles responsible solely for these activities. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.

The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical response and assistance in a timely manner to the customers in the operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of product lines

  • Respond to phone calls and emails from customers and GE Field Service Engineers (FSE) to resolve field issues

  • Assist customers with Aircraft on Ground (AOG) spare part supporting and issue resolution

  • Support new engine Entry into Service (EIS) activities

  • Serve as the 2nd level support function in the global technical support team

  • Cooperate with the 1st level of the support function to develop action plans with guidance to respond to issues/problems

  • Analyze the failure and availability statistics of the installed fleet

  • Provide Diagnostics reviews with the customers on the regular basis

  • Perform diagnostics analysis and provide technical recommendations in a timely manner


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with at least 3 years of experience in aviation industry

  • Must be fluent in Chinese and English

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Excel and PowerPoint

  • Must be highly motivated, self-directed individual with a strong work ethic and proven abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Proven ability to establish productive working relationships in a cross-functional team environment

  • Proven written and verbal communication skills

  • Effective problem identification and solution skills

  • Ability to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact

Desired Characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred
