Job Description Summary
As a China Compliance Monitoring professional, you will be a member of a team responsible for developing and implementing an overall strategy for compliance auditing and monitoring. This individual will be an experienced compliance monitoring professional responsible for executing various activities to monitor and audit the design and effectiveness of compliance policies, procedures, and controls. This individual will work independently in the execution of China monitoring activities and other ad hoc tasks, as needed.

- Working with other stakeholders in Legal, Compliance, Controllership, HR and other areas, the compliance monitoring analyst will conduct (i) compliance auditing and monitoring activities related to China business activities, (ii) to incorporate data analytical result to monitoring activity, (iii) to provide practical solutions to address identified risks and issues and (iv) ad hoc team projects and investigation within or outside of Ombuds system as needed.
Continuously monitor current and emerging risks within the subject areas, especially for commercial transaction related risks and Improper Payment related risks. Develop a comprehensive understanding of GE Healthcare compliance policies, procedures, controls, systems and processes.
Based on previous findings and observations, utilize company data, system resources to develop the monitoring /audit plan for compliance related issues
Partner with compliance, legal, and other functions to identify and understand trends; analyze and report out on such trends and thereby enable the organization to respond in a timely and proactive manner.
Efficiently execute monitoring/audit activities on a timely manner.
Interface with employees and senior management across the organization during audits and report outs.
As needed, and in partnership with global and regional compliance and other stakeholders, coordinate and/or execute corrective actions arising from investigations and audit/monitoring findings.
Produce clear, concise, relevant and timely monitoring/audit reports. Keep track of monitoring activity planning, scoping, work performed, key findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
Provide oral briefings on monitoring/audit findings and identify appropriate corrective actions.
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with compliance and business partners.
As needed, support to build up digital compliance solutions to drive proactive compliance engagement or facilitate investigation execution.
Support to execute various activities to conduct investigations or other ad hoc tasks as needed.
This individual must have a proven record of being thorough, fair, and objective with attention to detail, and timely and adapt easily to working in a diverse and multicultural work environment.
Bachelor’s degree., or Masters degree preferred but not required, life sciences experience is a plus.
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in compliance, law, internal audit, controllership, investigation experience is a plus.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong Word, Power Point and Excel (e.g., vlookups, pivots) skills
Demonstrated strong process and/or project management skills. Process and detail-oriented, including strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
Strong sense of urgency with a demonstrated record of meeting commitments despite pressure
Proven analytical, evaluation, and problem-solving skills, ability of data processing and utilization
Proven ability to digest large amounts of information and distill it into the essential elements
Highest personal integrity with demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters in a discreet and respectful manner
Ability to maintain confidentiality and inspire trust
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at various levels of the organization
Excellent facilitation, presentation, and data processing skills, with proven ability to clearly and concisely prepare, present, analyze, and discuss findings and recommendations at a senior level and produce a clear and compelling report
Auditing and monitoring experience in a global business environment.
Ability to interface effectively with business and functional leaders throughout the organization
Working knowledge of GEHC compliance policies/procedures, processes, tools, and controls would be a plus
High level of cultural sensitivity, flexibility, and emotional intelligence in order to work effectively within GE's multicultural environment.
