Job Description Summary
The Aviation Chief Compliance Officer – Asia provides domain expertise in the areas of risk management, local regulatory compliance, and demonstrating accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. This position will report to the Chief Compliance Officer for the Aviation business. In this role you will lead the Asia compliance program across APAC and Greater China regions, manage complex issues within area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across APAC and Greater China regions, manage complex issues within area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Partner with Aviation’s regional leaders to sustain and grow a culture of integrity in the APAC and Greater China regions.
Working with Aviation Risk Leaders and Business Compliance Leaders, design and implement programs, policies, and practices to ensure that all business units are in compliance with the legal and regulatory requirements of APAC and Greater China region countries.
Conduct risk assessments.
Identify, propose and execute improvements to Aviation’s existing compliance processes.
Conduct compliance investigations and develop effective corrective actions.
Localize Aviation policies and procedures for the APAC and Greater China regions.
Interact with customers, joint ventures and partners, where applicable, to share best practices and assist with the development and growth of their integrity programs.
Coordinate with the GE Global Growth Operation, participate in APAC and Greater China regional CORs and prepare Aviation leaders for their role in those CORs.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
Juris doctor degree from an accredited university.
At least 5 years of legal experience.
Experience in compliance.
Established project management and prioritization skills; ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
