Job Description Summary
Responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Focused on execution of standard enabling activities/provision of advice subject to policy and work routines within an enabling discipline. There may be some latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing situations.
Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct period closing and reporting processes efficiently with high quality, overall lead all sub-ledger function team and biz teams;
Perform analytical review of the monthly & quarterly fluctuation of BS, PL accounts, proactive communication of potential issues to the Controllership;
Assist accounting manager / Controller for other reporting preparation & submission in a timely and accurately manner, complete account reconciliation & other ad hoc requests;
Identify, lead and take new initiatives (i.e. Process automation project) to further enhance accounting operation support to Controllership, especially enhance efficiency, accuracy and standardization;
Act as overall audit engagement coordinator & primary point of contact to external auditors, stronger knowledge of accounting rules in relation to US GAAP / IFRS / PRC GAAP;
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members;
3 - 4 US GAAP (incl. Statutory ledgers) managed is minimal;
University graduate with major in finance or accounting;
Minimum 3 - 4 years of work experience in multi-national companies, GL experience is a must; Fluent in English, both written and speaking;
Excellent communication skills, with ability to clearly communicate technical issues to all levels of managements;
Proven ability to take initiatives for stronger compliance environment, efficiency improvement, and process standardization;
Strong understanding of financial accounting processes;
Experience with automation of reporting processes in a Oracle environment is a plus;
Capable of co-working with team members while maintaining higher level overview cross diff (sub)regions
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
