Baker Hughes, a GE company has an immediate opening for an Assembly, Maintenance & Overhaul Equipment Technician in Shafter, CA for Artificial Lift.
Forklift Experience: Moving material, Loading/Unloading Material, Forklift Inspections
Work performed with Electrical testing and High Voltage equipment
Complete required processes & documents for control of inventory
Comply with all EHS requirements
Keep all working areas safe and free of debris and oil
Complete shipping and receipt paperwork when equipment arrives or leaves the yard
Read material drawing.
Maintain shop equipment.
Work to pre-defined procedures in line with established work practices
Work is performed using common hand tool.
Have the ability to read scales to ensure correct measurements
Input information into workspace to ensure traceability
Basic computer skills: Excel, SAP, Word
Work within BHGE Health and Safety rules and guidelines
High School Diploma/GED
2+ years of related experience working repair shop environment
Working knowledge of Crane and common hand tools.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations required
Good mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills required
Basic skills in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes required
Will be required to remain on call for after hours or weekend work
Ability to work efficiently in teams required
Ability to communicate effectively in a courteous manner required
Ability to work overtime hours as needed
Ability to work an “on call” rotating weekend schedule as needed
Current Driver’s license required
Knowledge in reading micrometers, gauges and calipers
Ability to read tape measures and scales
HSE Knowledge (proper PPE for job, complying with policies/procedures)
Any experience in oil field equipment preparation preferred
Knowledge of cable splicing and testing preferred.
Experience with Electrical Testing Equipment
