We are looking for a Rockstar software engineering manager to join our Health Cloud platform team delivering core services and technologies that empower software teams across GE Healthcare to rapidly create and deliver high-impact software solutions.
In this role, you will:
Provide technical, people, and process leadership.
Staff and develop a Lean/Agile, full-stack, cloud-proficient software development team.
Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver the valuable outcomes our customers desire.
Work with product managers and architects to develop software technology roadmaps
Work with product owners, UX, and directly with customers to understand business and technical needs
Engage in technical discussions; participate in technical designs and present technical ideas through white boarding and other design artifacts
Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing and code quality automation
Develop, maintain, and support high-quality, releases of cloud-based healthcare financial transaction software.
Ensure teams are aligned, with a rich understanding of customer/user context and value as well as an understanding of business models, key assumptions, strategies, and results
Communicate effectively with leadership, providing transparency to the status, quality, and throughput of work through metrics and reviews
Plan and manage budgets Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 10 years of professional experience or masters/doctorate with 5 years of professional exerienceEligibility Requirements:
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.

Experience with SQL and No SQL database such as MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, HBase, Cassandra
Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns and Web Service coding principles
Experience with designing and creating Web based software platforms is a big plus
Experience in designing large scale cloud based systems using service oriented architecturePersonal Attributes:
