General Electric Value Optimization Operations Leader in Schenectady, New York
Role Summary:As part of the global commercial Onshore Wind team, the Value Optimization Operations Leader will drive process rigor around value optimization and the activities of the Value Optimization Team. This role will be responsible for driving standardization and automation of these processes including ownership of metrics and tools across all regions.
Develop and continuously improve a global approach to value optimization, including integrating the efforts into the existing Commercial ITO (Commercial Inquiry to Order) process
Develop and own optimization metrics across the globe and support regions and functions by providing a standardized way of measuring optimization efforts. Utilize metrics to drive continuous improvement in the process.
Coordinate with regional Value Optimization Leaders, commercial and engineering teams on execution of the new value optimization process. Drive best practice sharing and continuous improvement efforts globally. Incorporate feedback, lessons learned and best practices into the process.
Coordinate with various tool owners/user to improve the user experience and value of these tools with respect to the optimization process. Such tools include, but are not limited to economic evaluators/proforma, Balance of Plant and installation costing and site layout optimization tools.
Bachelor Degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering or Science from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of 5 years of related or similar work in the wind industry, including customer facing experience.
Project management or similar operational and proven success in executing projects or implementing processes in a timely and effective manner.
Analytical capabilities and interpersonal, team building skills; ability to work with cross-functional colleagues at all levels of the organization to drive actionable positive outcomes

Experience in energy project economics, wind technology engineering, wind resource assessments, balance of plant/installation, and/or services.
Lean or Six Sigma training expertise. li>
