As the Ransomware Program Manager you will be responsible focusing on developing a program’s objectives and strategy and assessing how it will impact the department, business or organization. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and a proven ability to implement high-level program initiatives. You will coordinate efforts between different projects to reach target goals including managing schedule, requirements and success of the overall program.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Work closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, and timing for new initiatives

  • Manage projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives

  • Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department

  • Define processes to identify top applications for the businesses to recover in the event of a ransomware attack.

  • Work with application teams to schedule and facilitate recovery testing.

  • Govern risks with recovery which includes developing solutions to monitor good backups and complying with required recovery testing.

  • Facilitate recovery testing with application teams. Work with teams to update necessary recovery plans with defects found from testing.

  • Understand application dependencies and work with organizations and service providers to test recovery plans for key dependencies.

  • Identify and document manual work arounds in order for applications to function.

  • Participate in tabletop crisis exercises.

  • Organize daily activities based on the goals of the organization

  • Work to achieve key performance metrics for the organization

  • Monitor projects to ensure goals are met

  • Meet with stakeholders to discuss program status and goals and work with leadership to improve strategies

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent knowledge / experience. Demonstrated experience in IT, Cyber Security or Disaster Recovery

Desired Characteristics:

  • Technical Expertise: • Demonstrated skill in program and project management • Working knowledge of program and project management principles • Experience with backups, recovery and BCP

  • Domain Knowledge: • Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills • Demonstrated experience with establishing program management protocols and maintaining organizational satisfaction, quality and performance. • Stakeholder management skills
