Job Description Summary

Purpose: The North America Operations Leader acts as the COO for the North America Services Region by supporting the North America General Manager in terms of driving business strategy and representing the region in various forums. The NAM Operations leader leads a team made up of employees ranging from hourly to Senior Professional.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the North Americas Operations Leader, you will:

Lead the Operational Excellence Group, which is made up of Field Operations Leaders, Planned Maintenance Team, Fleet Vehicle Management, KPI’s and Site Startup.

Partner with all levels of the business to strategically drive solutions in reducing services cost.

Partner with Fleet Reliability Operations around what sites to target with improvement plans and develop the execution plan to hand off to Field Operations Leaders.

Lead the continuous improvement effort around Business Transformation.

Support Service Directors in solving complex problems around LD's or Bonuses.

Be involved in discussions with multiple functions and teams about improvement in processes, procedures and ways of working.

Lead cross functional and diverse teams to identify and solve the businesses Big Y's as related to continuous improvement.

Present to senior leaders (Executive Band, Senior Executive Band and VP) a varying list of topics ranging from Turbines Per Tech strategy, Overtime Strategy and Contractor Usage.

Help drive consistency across the entire North America region via uniform methods, transformation play book, and best practices.

Lead effort around pacing new sites and their startup strategy enabling the region to meet contractual commitments.

Create and pace the headcount strategy for the region for current year and future years based on sales plan.

Lead weekly operations meetings with Senior leadership staff in the region.

Partner with Human Resources on business level strategies.

Partner with Quality / VOC council to drive business changes as a result of customer feedback.

Partner with HQ Productivity and Operations team as well as Regional Productivity team to develop programs and implement them across the North Americas Portfolio.

Lead various Kaizen’s within the region.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in Business, Operations Management or Project Management

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Operations or Field Services

Desired Characteristics:

Prior experience in the field of wind energy or related services business

Deep understanding of business, business processes and organization

Understanding in Lean

Strong oral and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Ability to influence others and lead large teams

Lead initiatives of large scope and impact

Ability to lead several high level business objectives simultaneously

Effective problem identification and solution resolution skills

Ability to analyze data and make business decisions
