General Electric Lead Sourcing Initiatives and Strategic Partner Governance Specialist in Schenectady, New York
Role Summary:The Lead Sourcing Initiatives and Strategic Partner Governance Specialist will collaborate with dedicated internal and external customers to achieve the best contractual conditions for the business and suppliers while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. You will identify cost and performance risk across the supply base and develop and execute contingency plans.
In addition, responsible for all commercial and contractual terms and any potential changes to those terms with the strategic partner providing shared services for GE Digital Finance, Commercial, Sourcing and DT.
Review and improve sourcing processes
Champion all Sourcing cash related, productivity and governance initiatives and balance those between tactical execution and strategy
Work with cross-functional teams in engineering, quality, commercial leads and fulfillment to identify critical delivery problems
Provide technical / commercial assistance to Commodity Leaders
Own sourcing specific ERPs, processes and tools
All contract performance related activities for a large, shared services, strategic partner relationship.
Own the vision for expanding the benefits of the shared services strategic partnership to grow the cost/benefit of the overall contract and integrate into the GE Digital programs where applicable.
Perform as the lead interface between GE Digital and the strategic partner teams, managing escalations, information flow, contract compliance and billing accuracy.
Negotiate changes and variations to the base contract to ensure all aspects of the work are reflected and measured contractually.
Point of escalation for the business for any contractual non-performance.
Review monthly billing for accuracy to the proposed productivity, work actually done, as well as any credits for missed measures.
Coordinate across processes supported by the Strategic Partner to ensure timely communication of critical and key measures and drive conversations around misses or room for improvement.
Report out to GE Digital leadership on a routine basis on overall contract performance, consolidated performance metrics and any escalations or issues of note.
Lead the establishment of work processes and projects, post-signing for Invoicing and Billing, Service Level Measurement tracking, FTE and Cost Management, Contract Management, DT Governance, Third Party management, Policy and Government compliance, Audits and overall governance coordination
Consistent collaboration with GE Digital Finance, Operations and IT.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Sourcing)
A minimum of 3 years of experience in Sourcing Initiatives, Manufacturing Operations&SW Industries, Commercial (Sales or Business Development) or Supply Chain Costing

Sourcing / procurement experience in a manufacturing and /or SW setting
