General Electric Lead Income Statement Analyst (m/f) in Schenectady, New York

Job Description Summary

Responsible for providing financial planning, analysis and reporting to Gas Power leadership & Corporate. Develop understanding of key Services & Equipment KPI & metrics; uses expertise & lean principles to drive business analytics. Team player who contribute to various initiatives across Gas Power (Operating P&L, lean monthly close, PSRs, etc ...).

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the analysis and the financial metrics that will help drive business decisions

  • Own & support closing & reporting processes, develop systems expertise (HFM, FDL, SDC, Dodeca, etc ...)

  • Own HQ pacing tracker & consolidate inputs from key stakeholders.

  • Developing in-depth knowledge of a discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy.

  • Communication with direct colleagues and the business stakeholders on various initiatives (Operating P&L, Lean Monthly Close, PSRs, etc ...).

  • Provides informal guidance to new team members. Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.

  • Own closing & reporting processes

  • Independently drive projects and processes improvements within HQ team, while being a team player to support broader Gas Power initiatives.

  • Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated level of finance experience in a global business environment

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)

  • Successful applicant will be legally eligible to enter into an employment relationship under the laws of Hungary.

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

  • Established project management skills.
